Still Waters Brevard works to engage, equip and empower those in need. We walk alongside each student in the program to help them achieve the spiritual, emotional, mental and financial skills necessary for independence and self-sufficiency.

You are NOT alone! Every woman has worth and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. No one ever plans on becoming homeless, addicted, impoverished, or lost. We are committed to helping women (those with or without children) and those aging out of foster care find healing and freedom from their past, with security and hope for their future.

Our wrap-around program starts from the first day a woman enters Still Waters Brevard. While participating in the program, student’s basic needs are met-giving them the opportunity to engage in healing, focused case management, counseling, educational and financial skills, and other necessary components for a self- sustaining, independent life.
Currently, we are only accepting applications for single women without children.
STILL WATERS BREVARD OFFERS:
Counseling services
We stand with the women we serve, for as long as it takes. This helps combat feelings of abandonment and hopelessness, while providing stability and care during a time of great need. Students in the program receive free weekly individualized counseling at the Wholeness To Freedom Ministries Campus. Some common areas of need are: depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD and more. Support groups and access to NA/AA meetings are also available.
transitional housing
We work to empower homeless and at-risk single women with safe housing while enrolled in the Still Waters Brevard program. This allows individuals to focus on working toward solutions necessary to achieve personal, professional, and financial long-term self-sufficiency. Free from the stress of living in a car or on the street, they now have a safe environment where the focus is on healing and developing a plan for their future.
Group
classes
When a woman understands that she is worth more than what she has been told, she can start to see a future worth fighting for. Classes are provided in many areas including: trauma, boundaries, financial literacy, life skills, understanding oneself and many more. SWB students have the opportunity to participate in 8-12 week classes on campus and through a partnership with Love INC Brevard. Upon course completion, students receive graduate certification and participate in a cap and gown ceremony.
Case
Management
Students meet weekly with a case manager to develop and obtain assistance achieving personal and professional goals. Students work to learn how to budget and save money, employment skills, household management skills, referrals for subsidized childcare, and assistance transitioning into permanent housing. Access to support groups, workshops, career guidance, victim advocacy and signing up for community resources are also available.

GARDEN MINISTRY
Students in the Still Waters Brevard Program have access to our organic garden, chickens coops, and tilapia pools where they learn how to grow and maintain their own produce. Students also give back to the community by volunteering in the gardens and food pantry.
Gardening has long been recognized as a stress releasor. Studies show there is a significant release of dopamine and serotonin as one engages with the soil during gardening activities, all of which supports the students’ healing journey.

BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP
Each week, SWB students have the option to participate in group bible studies and attend worship services. These times help provide healing, hope, and a sense of community for program participants. Students learn more about who they are, who God is, and ways to walk through their faith. It is not necessary for a student to be a Christian to participate in the program.
COMMUNITY
FOOD PANTRY
SWB Students have access to food through our weekly food pantry, and also receive assistance in applying for SNAP and TANF benefits.

PARTNER THRIFT SHOPS
SWB Students also receive discounted clothing, furnishings/home supplies through our partner organizations.

The Dormitory
While enrolled in our educational and transformational program, our current SWB students are provided with transitional housing via a private single family home located in Melbourne, FL. This property has been temporarily donated to our ministry by Wings of Grace Ministries Inc., to be used by the SWB students while we are waiting for the Still Waters Brevard Dormitory to be renovated.

Once renovated, the three story dormitory (located on the WFMI Campus) will provide wrap around services to both single women and women with children!
